In case you are wondering what Millennial Fun is, it is a program we started to reach our Millennial audience and bring them into the library for fun events that they would be interested in. Adults at the Millennial age, adults of any age may attend the events, but the themes will be geared towards adult Millennial, defined as those born between the years of 1981 – 1996. So some examples of past events and possible future events are trivia nights, Jeopardy, Family feud, food challenges, board and card games (Monopoly, Spades, Uno), escape rooms, crafts, nostalgia films and shows, and more.
Some upcoming events in the next couple months are the Retro Cartoon After Hours Pajama Night, Bad Art Night, Jumanji Escape Room and Speed Friending. Below is a little description about the program but for the full details and registration please click the link at the bottom of this article.
- Retro Cartoon After Hours Pajama Night takes place after the library has closed on January 25 at 6:30 PM, so that working adults may be able to attend the event on a Saturday night. Children may come to this event since the cartoons we are watching are all ages, but they must be accompanied by an adult. Children must also be registered for this event.
- Bad Art Night is a craft event with Adults from Millennial Fun teaming up with Craft Therapy participants on January 20 at 6:30 PM. Come create the worst art you can, and there will be a contest and judging for a winner.
- The Jumanji Family Escape Room on February 1 at 11:00 AM pays tribute to the old movie and the new. Can you solve the clues and escape the room? Registration for this event is required. Sign up your group or just yourself for the time slot of your choice.
- Speed Friending is a Millennial Fun event on February 24 at 6:30 PM for Adults that want to meet new friends. With their crazy schedules it is difficult for Millennials to meet others in person and we are offering a fun, comfortable, public space to meet other Millennials that share the same interests.
