The Matteson Area Public Library has a large collection of streaming services available for our patrons. Some of these services you can access from home, while others can only be viewed by checking out one of our library Roku devices.
The services currently available exclusively on our Rokus are Netflix and Vudu: Movies and TV. A library account is already pre-loaded on Netflix. Vudu has a digital catalog of some of the library’s movie collection. Starting on November 13th the library will also add Disney+ to its streaming services and will be exclusively on our Rokus. Rokus can only be checked out by Matteson library card holders. Loan periods on Rokus are for one week.
Steaming services that include Hoopla, Kanopy, (We no longer have IndieFlix, Pongalo, Acorn TV and Qello) can be accessed by going to the library’s website here. Or you can go to the top of our page and click on Research and Learning and click on A to Z List and look for the streaming service you are interested in. Kanopy and Hoopla have their own individual links. Make sure you have your library card number on hand when you create your account. Once you have setup your account online you can then download the apps for your devices. Use the email and password you have created with your library card online to login to the app and you’re all set!
