Blog > Our New Display Case

Posted May 2, 2022

MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU! was the theme of the grand opening of our brand new Display Case, and now it houses our Summer Reading prizes.

When our library was renovated in 2013 our display case was removed. We missed having collections displayed by our community. The Public Services team worked tirelessly to bring another into fruition. We found one that has lighting and has multiple shelves. The measurements are roughly: H 60” x  W 46” x  D 18”.

We depend on members of the community to help us fill our display case with a variety of interesting collections and artwork. Our display case is locked and free to use. A display can remain in the case for 1 month.

Show us what you have!  Exhibits that are solely for commercial purposes, including the sale of goods and services, will not be considered. Find our display case policies here.

This month we have David Boomker displaying items from the Star Wars movie franchise’s First trilogy.

The films center on the Galactic Civil War between the Rebel Alliance and the tyrannical Galactic Empire, as well as the journey of Luke Skywalker in his quest to become a Jedi under the tutelage of exiled Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda. Luke joins forces with Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2 and the Rebel Alliance in facing the Empire and the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
